ABOUT
My connection to Harris County began in 1999, when I met and married Spencer Oliver. Coach Ed and Mrs. Martha Jo Oliver, Spencer’s parents, were educators in Harris County and they chose to raise their children in the Harris County School System.
In 1979, Ed and Martha Jo Oliver moved from Peachtree City to the Union community. Mrs. Martha Jo continued her teaching career at Mountain Hill School where she remained until retirement. Coach Ed Oliver, was also in education in Harris County as well as Muscogee County. He coached baseball and softball and attained multiple region and state championships during his career.
Ed and Martha Jo Oliver had four children: Susan, Spence, Sim and Bess. All four children attended Harris County Schools.
My husband, Spence Oliver, is a 1991 graduate of Harris County High School. Our three children, Spencer, Gwendolyn and Virginia, are currently in the Harris County School System.
